Experience
I began my career in the financial services industry in 1964, serving as a consulting actuary, Pension Actuary, international management for my employer's seven overseas companies, always focusing on helping businesses and their key employees plan for financial stability.  I take pride in the deep, long-lasting relationships I've built with clients, many of whom have referred me to others over the years.  My experience has provided valuable insights to the company's products and services that aided in my decision to transition to Principal® in 1993.

Interests
Outside of my professional life, I'm passionate about a variety of activities. I've completed 158 full marathons, enjoy cutting and splitting firewood, and am deeply involved in farming. I also dedicate time to volunteering in my community, including tutoring accelerated math students and reading with learning-disabled students in our school district. Additionally, I support my wife's riding and showing of our Palomino horses, and I'm learning to fly, with instruction by our grandson, a Certified Flight Instructor.
