Darlene Schaefer
Client Support Specialist
Experience:
I began my career in the financial services industry in 1979, when answering an ad for a “First Year Clerk” at the then-named The Banker's Life (now Principal®) in Madison, Wisconsin. I've been smitten ever since as I finish my 45th year in financial services! Throughout my career, I've focused on providing outstanding client service and making sure each person our financial professionals work with feels informed and confident about their financial journey. As a Client Support Specialist, I work behind the scenes to assist with the handling of administrative tasks that help contribute to client satisfaction and the development of lasting relationships.
Interests:
When I'm not at work, I love spending time with my family, reading, and traveling. I'm working on visiting all 50 states, and I've already explored 36! I am also dedicated to my community, serving as Secretary for the Reedsburg Area Helping Hands, an organization that provides essential supplies to children in need in our local school district. I've been involved with this group since 2010.
On a personal note, I'm blessed to have been married to my husband, Mark, for 32 years. Mark and I have a family that includes my daughter Adrianne from a previous marriage, her husband Brandon, and four wonderful grandchildren—Kelcey (22), Katelynne (19), Bryton (17), and Amaya (12).
